Anytime I cook with ground beef it's usually for meat sauce or taco night but awhile back my brother-in-law introduced us to Korean ground beef, a ginger-soy based dish. My husband has made it a few times for us but the recipe calls for only a few teaspoons of fresh ginger so we would buy it just for this dish and end up throwing out the rest of the root.
I don't like letting ingredients go to waste so I decided to look for a similar recipe that used ground ginger, which can be stored much longer. I ended up finding a recipe that was even easier to make and I already had the other ingredients at home!
I was a little skeptical that the ground ginger wouldn't be as flavorful but I couldn't even tell the difference! It was so delicious! It even had a small kick to it from the pepper flakes. And the best part is, it took less than 30 minutes to make!
I made zero changes to this recipe! It was so simple to make and super tasty! Enjoy!
I used Jasmine rice but white or brown rice goes well with this dish too.
