Matzah crack, yes, it is that addicting!

Whenever we've gone to our family passover seder, someone always brought chocolate covered Matzah but then we were introduced to "Matzah crack" which is basically Matzah covered in toffee and chocolate. It tastes so amazing you'll never want to go back to just Matzah with chocolate!

Since we kept our seder small again this year, and my little chef wanted to help me "bake", we decided to make it ourselves! This is a great activity to get the kids involved as the recipe is very simple and includes all the yummy ingredients kids love. Who doesn't love chocolate?! Just be super careful when they have to spread on the toffee and chocolate since it will be very hot! I did the initial spread and let her "smooth it out".

The other great thing about Matzah crack is you can top it with about anything! This recipe included pecans but pretzels or even mini M&M's are great too (NOTE: If you are keeping kosher don't add the pretzels!) We did half mini M&M's and half rainbow sprinkles but even without toppings it's great!

- Make sure to spread the toffee as soon as you take it off the stove as it hardens quickly

-For the chocolate topping, I used milk chocolate chips

Whether you are making this for Passover, or just for a delicious dessert/snack, it's worth a try!

This is the toffee spread on. You'll see some of the parts are uneven because I didn't do it fast enough. As soon as you pour it, spread it!

My little helper put on the toppings! By the time I spread the chocolate on, the pan was not too hot so she was able to do it on her own.

All ready to go in the refrigerator!

The final product! Make sure to use a sharp knife when cutting it into pieces.
